This piece features some rather wide spacing. It is a good way to give your hands an open, healthy stretch (but be careful to avoid accumulating tension), though it may take some getting used to. If you find that it is simply too wide for your hands, skip this piece to avoid injury.
This piece also has a crystalline quality which your intuition will wish to preserve. As a result, you'll feel compelled to take care of each note and control each phrase maximally. Like the water of a calm, still lake, this piece requires tremendous finesse and care to preverse its serene and tranquil character. Naturally therefore, this piece is wonderful for developing finesse and technical control.
